Requirements

The EPCOS AG website is not designed for use with any particular browser. Microsoft’s Internet Explorer from V. 6.5 or Mozilla Firefox from V. 3.5x are recommended.

In order to use all the functions of our website, the following preconditions must additionally be fulfilled:

• Enabling of cookies as well as activation of JavaScript in the browser
• A current version of Adobe Acrobat Reader for displaying documents in PDF format, such as data sheets and publications
• A program for processing zip archives, e.g. WinZip

Acrobat Reader may be downloaded via the links shown on our website. We recommend use of the plug-in module for Internet browsers. This is set up automatically when you install Acrobat Reader after the browser. It allows you to open all PDF documents directly in your browser.

Product Search

The search engines enable you to find the suitable component from the comprehensive product range. Depending on the type of search you choose, you'll get different screens in order to specify parameters or enter a product type designation. The search results always include the most important technical parameters for the product, the ordering code and a hyperlink to the appropriate data sheet.

Standardized Notation for Ordering Codes

In technical product information EPCOS ordering codes will be changed to a 15-digit standardized format. Online the changes have already been made. Zeroes are being used after the letter to obtain the required number of digits (Example: B72500T0040M060). Technical product information (PDF files) will successively be adapted to the new notation. Technical product specifications will not be affected.

Search by Product Parameter

After selecting the product group, e.g. Film Capacitors (0 ... 220 µF) you can specify your requirements by selecting different product parameters important for your application. You can reduce the amount of hits shown by choosing more parameters. Each selection triggers off a search automatically in order to update the contents of the drop-down lists. In order to view the details of your search results, please click the Ok-button.

Click the Reset-button to reset all search parameters.

Search by Ordering Code

If you already know the complete EPCOS part number or at least a part of it, this type of search will be the fastest way to find technical product data. Using wildcards (*, ?) is permitted, e.g. B45196* or ?45196* etc. Please note that online our ordering codes have changed to 15 digits. An example of this is B59860C80A70 (previous Ordering Code) and accordingly B59860C0080A070 (new notation with 15 digits).

This search includes information on withdrawn products.

Search by X-Reference

Searching by X-Reference enables you to find an EPCOS part by using the competitor's part number. Simply enter a competitor's part number (either completely or by using wildcards) and the search engine will offer you the corresponding EPCOS part number including important technical data and a link to the data sheet.

In order to find the suitable alternative you can also use the form to ask one of our sales offices for advice.

Search Result

The search result offers details for the products found including the link to the corresponding data sheet. By clicking on a column header you can sort the search result in ascending or descending order. The dark gray triangle indicates the sorting order and the column chosen.

Download Data Sheets

Data sheets can now be downloaded in one operation as zip-file. Please mark the data sheets with the check box in the first column. Click the Download-button at the end of the list to create the zip-file. Then you will be asked to save the zip to your harddisk.

Export Search Result

This function allows to save the search result in text format and process the data e.g. with MS Excel. Please click the Export-button to receive a new window with the search results. Use the browser's Save as ... function to save the file in text format.

Please proceed as follows to receive correct results:

Start MS Excel. Select Data --> Import external data --> Import text data. Please select your text file.

Step 1 of 3: Please check, if Windows (ANSI) or an ISO character set is selected. Click 'Continue'.

Step 2 of 3: Select tab as separator and click 'Continue'.

Step 3 of 3: Click 'more' and choose decimal point instead of comma, if your system uses comma as standard.

Please click 'Finish' to complete the import.
