The Annual General Meeting of EPCOS AG has elected Dr. Werner Faber (63) and Mr. Noboru Saito (45) as new members of the EPCOS Supervisory Board with immediate effect. Following the Annual General Meeting, Dr. Werner Faber was elected the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board at the constitutive meeting of the EPCOS Supervisory Board. He thus succeeds Klaus Ziegler, who went into retirement at the end of the Annual General Meeting and at the end of an exceptional and successful career.  more

TDK Corporation has developed a multilayer ceramic chip capacitor that – in addition to its rated DC voltage of 630 V – can withstand a rated AC voltage of 500 V_RMS for 60 s and 600 V_RMS for 3 s. Thanks to its optimized internal electrode structure the new TDK C3216 and C3225 types exhibit superior AC withstanding voltage, allowing guaranteed ratings to be given not only for the customary DC voltages but also for AC voltages.  more

TDK Corporation has expanded the high density series of EPCOS MKP film capacitors with two new voltage classes. The B32774* to B32778* series of DC link film capacitors are now available for rated voltages of 575 V DC and 900 V DC.  more

TDK Corporation has developed the world’s smallest common-mode filter, which measures in at only 0.45 x 0.30 x 0.23 mm and is 75 percent smaller than current 0806 filters (IEC). Besides its miniature dimensions, the new TCM0403S-350-2P thin-film common-mode filter offers excellent performance.  more

TDK Corporation has developed a multilayer band pass filter in size 1005 that is significantly smaller than the existing 1608 types. With its miniature dimensions of just 1.0 mm x 0.5 mm x 0.37 mm, the insertion height of the new DEA102450BT-1278A1 band pass filter has been reduced by more than a third and its volume by 75 percent. Mass production has launched in April 2012.  more

The Supervisory Board of EPCOS AG, a TDK group company, decided to make the following changes to the composition of the Management Board:

Dr. Norbert Hess and Christian Block were appointed to the Management Board of EPCOS AG effective June 1, 2012. Initially, the two new appointees will serve as deputies for Dr. Werner Faber until June 30, 2012. In agreement with the Supervisory Board, Dr. Faber will step down from the Management Board of EPCOS AG effective June 30, 2012, and will stand as a candidate for a seat on the Supervisory Board at EPCOS' Annual General Meeting on July 26, 2012.  more

TDK Corporation has expanded its portfolio of SMD power inductors with new CLF7045-D types that can withstand temperatures of up to 150 °C. The CLF7045-D power inductors are thus suitable for applications with extreme operating temperatures such as power supply circuits in the engine compartment of automobiles.  more

Located in Bawal, Haryana, some 100 kilometers southwest of New Delhi, the new plant will focus on the manufacture of AC capacitors for motor start and motor run applications and capacitors for power factor correction (PFC), primarily for the Indian market.  more
