SAW Filter: Further miniaturization in UMTS filters

With a footprint of only 1.4 x 1.1 mm, the new RX filters of types B9408 and B9411 for UMTS handsets mark another milestone in miniaturization by EPCOS.

Versions with impedances of 100 and 200 Ω are available to match the chipset used. Typical insertion loss in the passband (2.11 to 2.17 GHz) is 1.6 dB. Error vector magnitude, a critical parameter in UMTS systems, is less than 2%. Attenuation in the TX path (1.92 to 1.98 GHz) is 48 dB. Attenuation is at least 31 dB in the range from 2.5 to 6.0 GHz. Samples of the new filters are available.
