EPCOS’ new SIFI-G and SIFI-H two-line filters enhance the company’s successful SIFI-A to E series. The new devices are designed for currents of up to 36 A and a climatic category of up to +100 °C. The filter dimensions were simultaneously reduced and they are more attractively priced for identical attenuation properties than predecessor types.
The SIFI-H (B84113H*) series has now also obtained UL/cUL approval. This means that SIFI-H and SIFI-G now bear the three important certification marks UL, cUL and ENEC, which simplifies release of the end products on the European and US markets. Both are now available from stock. Older filter types continue to be available.
Typical applications for the new filters are switched-mode power supplies in the telecommunications equipment such as switches and transmission equipment. Further applications include IT systems, such as servers, hubs or routers, as well as in industrial electronics and medical technology.
