EPCOS has developed the new B43540 snap-in aluminum electrolytic capacitor specifically for link-circuit applications in frequency converters. The ESR and internal thermal resistance have been optimized to enable a 20 percent increase in current handling capacity in comparison to previous products of the same volume. With a capacitance range from 68 to 2200 μF, the capacitors are designed for voltages from 200 to 400 V.

With diameters of only 25 to 35 mm and insertion heights from 25 to 55 mm, EPCOS is meeting demands for ever more compact designs. They have an operating life of 10,000 hours at a temperature of 85 °C.
