Responsible for managing a team of backend assembly/ test engineers and drive their performance to achieve process yields, output, product costs and equipment downtime targets.
Manage the transfer of new products/ processes from HQ Munich to Singapore; implement effective work methodologies to ensure consistent high quality parts are produced; work within tight department budget through careful usage of raw materials, utilities, production equipment, and vendor services for the effective running of the processes.
Raise the knowledge and skills of engineers and technicians; and challenge them to continuously seek for long term solutions to resolve chronic process, equipment and material issues to improve quality, output, speed and costs.
Provide effective manpower deployment to achieve high labour productivity; and design succession planning, talent development and knowledge management, as well as to take total ownership of EHS, 5S and engineering matters.
Education requirements
Degree in engineering or comparable discipline
Requirements
Minimum 6 years relevant working experience in semiconductor industry with high volume production environment, of which preferably 2 years in a managerial position
Comprehensive technical understanding of state-of-the-art assembly/ test processes
Experience in failure analysis is a plus
Possess working knowledge of SPC tools, DOE, FMEA, MSA, GR&R, sampling plans, etc.
Good knowledge of MS Office applications
Knowledge of Minitab, Statistica or equivalent tools is a plus
