In cooperation with leading semiconductor manufacturers and design houses, EPCOS develops reference designs for a wide range of applications in order to offer solutions to electronics manufacturers across the industrial spectrum. Here are some of EPCOS’ current examples:
Electronic ballasts for fluorescent lamps

Infineon Technologies and EPCOS have cooperated to develop the ICB1FL01G, a new integrated circuit designed to control the electronic ballasts of fluorescent lamps of types T4 and T5. The IC offers many different options, including multi-lamp operation.

Switch-mode power supply for LCD TV

| Together with Finepower, a design specializing in power electronics, EPCOS has developed a reference design for a switch-mode power supply (SMPS) that is suitable for a voltage of 24 V because of the higher audio power requirements of LCD TV sets.

Switch-mode power supplies from 4.5 to 600 W
 | In cooperation, Fairchild Semiconductor and EPCOS have developed a series of reference designs for switch-mode power supplies (SMPS). They cover the power classes from 4.5 to 600 watts.
|
Powerline transceiver
 | ST Microelectronics and EPCOS joined forces to develop a reference design for the simple and secure transmission of data over power lines (powerline transceiver) for automatic meter reading (AMR).
